Individualized Health Plans
After completing a Comprehensive Physical examination our veterinarians will evaluate your pet’s age, breed and lifestyle to determine the risk of potential disease. After discussing your pet’s needs, they will design a preventive health care plan that is best for your pet.
Puppies and Kitten
Puppies and Kittens need specialized care during their first year to start their lives off healthy and happy. Here at MVC we will tailor plans for your puppy or kitten based on their lifestyle, breed, and other factors. We offer Puppy and Kitten Plans which provide these services at a substantial savings to help you keep your puppy or kitten healthy. For more information about our puppy and kitten plans click here.
We Love Our Senior Pets
Dogs and cats over the age of seven are considered seniors, and they need special attention. They are at risk for the development of cancer, diabetes, arthritis and other serious medical conditions. Often these conditions come on gradually, and owners cannot detect the ongoing discomfort they may cause. To keep your pet feeling his best and with you as long as possible, we recommend twice yearly check ups along with diagnostic testing to screen for common geriatric disorders. We offer a senior pet package that bundles many common preventative services together at a substantial discount to help your longtime companion stay healthy. Cold Laser Therapy
Madera Veterinary Center is now able to provide your pet with cold laser therapy. This technique has been utilized for many years on human patients. Physicians and chiropractors have used it successfully on professional and Olympic athletes for pain relief as well as to improve their bodies* ability to heal.
Instead of cutting like the focused beam laser that is used in surgery, the cold laser provides energy in the form of light waves that affects the production of endorphins and relieves pain. Injured cells stimulated this way heal at a faster rate. What this means for your pet is that he or she can heal more quickly and comfortably.
Because of the ability to reduce inflammation and relieve pain, the cold laser is the latest technology in veterinary care for:
The cold laser is non-invasive and the treatment is painless. It has the added advantage that there are none of the potentially dangerous side effects associated with drugs. When used after a surgical procedure, the cold laser reduces pain, inflammation, and swelling. The cold laser is an amazing and effective tool for pain management and arthritis.
This treatment can also be used to promote healing for a multitude of situations including post-surgical sites, open wounds, lick granulomas, and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Most cases require a series of initial laser treatments with once-a-month, or as needed, maintenance. Please contact us with any questions regarding laser therapy treatment for your pet.
