About the Role

Madera Veterinary Center in Madera, CA is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinarian to join our growing team! We are a full-service community focused animal hospital that sees dogs cats and the occasional pocket pet. The support staff includes two RVT’s and two CVA’s as well as other experienced team members.  To better serve and support our community we run an in-house “Angel” fund for pets whose owners don’t have the means to provide necessary surgery or for pet’s whose owners relinquish them to the us.

Our modern practice is equipped with:

• Newer digital x-rays and digital dental x-rays
• Surgical suite
• Dedicated dental suite
• Ultrasound
• Separate lobby for dogs and cats
• Full in-house IDEXX lab
• In-house pharmacy
• Boarding
• Isolation ward
• Equipment including an ECG, blood pressure monitor, and pulse oximeter

• All Veterinarian experience levels are welcomed!
• A New Grad Veterinarian can expect first-rate mentorship and support from our knowledgeable Chief of Staff Veterinarian and staff.
• We can be very accommodating to a new veterinarian and are open to someone who wants to do wellness or surgeries only.
• No after-hours, No on-call shifts. 

Mentorship

For New Grad Veterinarians who join our team we invest our time to ensure you get the support time and guidance for your first job out of vet school. We offer a structured orientation and tailored mentorship program including 1-on-1 surgical training longer appointment times additional surgeries to improve proficiency and we will always have another veterinarian available throughout the first year. Other opportunities include Zoom calls and round table discussions with other new and recent graduates new grad peer advisors for networking and support as new veterinarians as they navigate their first DVM position and Slack group discussions to connect new doctors with experienced vets for case reviews connection and advice.

Nestled near Yosemite and the Sierra National Forest, Madera offers diverse attractions including the popular Madera Wine Trail, numerous shops, and dining options. Within a two-hour radius, residents have access to ski resorts, national parks, beaches, major cities like San Francisco and Sacramento, and even destinations like Las Vegas and Mexico by plane. What's In It For You

We offer a generous salary 401(k) medical benefits CE allowance professional dues and liability coverage.  The base salary for this position can range between $130,000 - $200,000+ annually with production based on a 40-hour work week (4 tens) and will be determined based on previous experience, skill set, and practice type. Total compensation may also include a sign-on or retention bonus.
